TSSC sequins are made using 100% recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate), offering a more sustainable alternative to conventional sequins made from virgin plastics.
Using recycled plastic helps reduce reliance on non-renewable fossil fuels, lowers the demand for virgin plastic production and helps give existing plastic material another useful life.
Punchinella makes further use of the material by giving the waste film left behind during the sequin punching process another purpose. This listing is for the Punchinella waste film, not the sequins themselves.

What they work well for
These sequins are suitable for hand stitching onto garments, costumes, accessories, and soft furnishings. The side hole makes them ideal for overlapping applications, fringing effects, and drape-style decoration.
These sequins are made from 20% recycled plastic film punched in the UK and available in a wide range of colours and finishes. We are transitioning to 100% recycled, Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified plastic. Selected colours are already available, with more coming soon, and we are working towards a fully compostable sequin and actively researching plant-based alternatives in collaboration with UK universities and partners.
Returns are accepted within 14 days on unopened, unused items. As sequins are a small loose product, opened packs cannot be returned unless faulty. If something isn't right, please contact us and I will do my best to help.

Punchinella is supplied as a connected sheet or length rather than individual pieces. Use it where you want the negative space and repeating pattern to be part of the design.
Yes. Cut a small test piece first, then choose a stitch, edge finish or other method that suits your fabric and intended use. Testing helps you avoid snagging and gives the cleanest edge for your design.
Treat the attached piece gently and test your construction method first. For finished textiles, gentle hand washing is recommended; avoid machine washing, steam and harsh chemicals.
